Just seen on BBC news that 1000 Indonesians in one devastated town in Aceh, Indonesia are starving because no food aid has arrived. The village has apparently one bag of rice of 1000 people including children.

If the BBC can get to this village, how is it that the Indonesian Army and food aid cannot?

Or is this pay back time by the Indonesian Government?

The Indonesia Army busy with the top leaders meeting in Jakarta today.

Looking through history, the Indonesia army never do much good to help people around asia anyway.

Indonesian army largely sitting around grinning like baboons, tellng jokes to each other and smoking kretek cigarettes.

Also charging Acehnese for donated dried noodles, and cherry-picking aid supplies for gifts for their own families.

A de-populated Aceh fits nicely with the central Government's aspirations.

...plus 800 million dollars to share out among themselves - and debt relief. Cor !

Aceh always a region with a high independency feelings. During the colonization period of the Duth, thousands of dutch soldiers lost their lives there. The Japanese never were able to get a hold on that area. The current Javanese dominant Indonesean governments are facing the same problem.

Yes they are considering themselves rather lucky that mother nature wiped out the next 2 generations of Aceh's freedom fighters, and get paid in the process by the west.

I read reports that the Indonesian army is very busy in mopping up remnants of them in the mountains.
