February 13, 200917 yr I am looking for a nice but not high priced mall in the Sukhumvit area. Somewhere I can find a casual/nice dress for a company meet & greet. What is considered appropriate with the older more traditional Thais? I see women in short dresses & heals here everywhere. Would a dress right above the knees with a pair of low heals be appropriate? Thanks Peregrine8

February 13, 200917 yr Based on your stated requirements, I would think Amarin Plaza at BTS Chidlom might have the shops to suit your needs. Other than that one, there are other dept stores/shopping centers you might try: also BTS Chidlom - Central Dept Store, Central World, Big C, Gaysorn Plaza; BTS Asok - Robinson Dept store; BTS Prom Phong - Emporium; BTS Siam - Siam Paragon/Center/Discovery, Siam Square; BTS Nat'l Stadium - MBK with Tokyu Dept Store; onto Silom Road - Silom Complex with its Central Dept Store. A world of shops and shopping malls here.
February 13, 200917 yr The newly opened Pratunam Mall on Petchaburi Road, not too far from Chit Lom BTS, is good for cheap but decent clothes also.
