soundman
TENNIS PROS VISIT PATTAYA CHILDREN‘S SAFETY AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE On 11 February, 2009, Tammy, the popular Thai tennis player, and other PTT Pattaya Open 2009 professional tennis players bought lunch for street children at the Children Safety and Development Centre Project Pattaya, and gave them sports equipment as souvenirs. Tammy, herself, donated Bt10,000 cash to the project. When the pro tennis players and their organizers visited the children, they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Supakorn Noja, the president of the project centre and its 31 children [23 boys and 8 girls]. The project was established 17 years ago and now has 5 houses. The project management is currently negotiating to lease more land to build a new building for the children, because of the increasing number of street children in Pattaya. Mr. Supakorn said the project was in need of more help, the children need clothes, costumes and better social welfare. The centre provides education for the children, too, starting from nursery and continuing until they are 18 years old. They also are trained in agriculture matters, such as growing vegetables, pig farming and gardening. The children can be adopted and anyone who wants to donate cash for their educational equipment and upkeep can contact Mr. Supakorn Noja, the president of the project centre at 33/3 Moo. 3 Soi Chaiporn Witi 9 , Nongprue, Banglamung, Tel: 081-949-9349 Article.
