New (?) Two Baht Coin.

I was given one in change last night, not seen a two Baht in this color before, is it in aid or celibrating something?

I tried a search forum search nothing that I could see has been posted before.

------found the answer on another site------------

Feb. 3rd 2009. They're made from aluminium/bronze to stop people confusing them with the nickel/steel 1 Baht coin.

No more "2"s written on the silver ones.

There is a picture if you search on Google as well.

got one today from the bus conductor as well. indeed a cutie-coin. but, same as the 50-Baht note, I guess it will not be overly successful in daily use.....

I love the two baht coin. It even confuses Thais. They often use a pen to mark it as a 2 THB coin. :o
