Recommended Posts

i have virgin phone in uk.But having difficulty finding a cheap way of phoning thailand.

can you please help me.

08 numbers seem to be expensive.

Thank you .

Calling from Thailand, I tend to use VOIPs like Skype - with which I can videoconference from my computer (audio and tv-like video) to/from theirs fpr free. If they don't have a webcam, you can call them for free on their computer using Skype. If they don't have a computer at all, you can phone them for free from your computer to their land-line; costs are very reasonable. Googling VOIP carriers should get you started.

If you don't have a computer, there are others on this forum who can help with plans and/or phone cards that are very competitive.

A Virgin mobile or landline? If it's a mobile then buy a lebara sim card for it, 4p a minute to phone a landline in Thailand and 6p to phone a mobile, if it's a landline then an 0844 number is your best bet, 1p a minute to phone landline or mobile, hope this helps.

ive used voipdiscount....com for over 2 years now

it works very well , you have to wait for the call to connect ( takes about 5 secs to sync ) once they pick up

total cost is 0.5 cent / euro for 59 mins

English landlines to Thai mobile ( I'm on virgin too )

i think voipcheap and voipdiscount are the same company

calls to Thailand

0.8p/ minute from any UK landline/mobile to any Thai landline or mobile

First to top up your phone £1 .......... Dial 09049710123

now dial ................ 02084970123 follow the directions

if you have a free calls deal with your phone provider virgin, bt anytime etc then you only pay 0.8p/ minute

I hope that this helps :o
