But you are correct for once on one thing ... it was a three year sentence that he only had to serve one month of prior to his release. If only this logic was applied to traffic violations... and pub fires... Thankfully, laws are always enforced in a consistent manner... It's as if some people believe printed expressions deserve no jail time at all... You he served only 1 month in prison... he served 4 or 5 months before his trial, no? No He didn't serve any sentence before he was convicted (though after a conviction they often apply time in detention as 'time served') The guy was a flight risk on trial for a serious crime (here). How could he have left the country if his passport was kept by the authorities? Please explain why murderers, child molesters, those involved in massive corruption (such as Thaksin) are allowed bail and even allowed to leave the country while on bail. It's hypocritical in the extreme, and you defending the inexcusable actions of the Thai authorities in this matter makes you a hypocrite too. Hey wait isn't THAT what Thaksin is trying to do now... CRIKEY! Maybe he should write a book for the red shirts! Then they can lock him up a LONG time. This poor aussie bloke was a victum of the times, most other years they would have just kicked the book out. And made points for that, but this is social upheaval time... Jail for writers of ideas. That's why Kuhn Giles did a runner. Regardless is certain persons feel no one should be above critique. Others use the arcane laws for political machinations, and yes, also hide in the wings and watch their pawns twist in the wind. And they call this making face... I think that may be a violation of the rules, but let's pretend it isn't. Since SFB has stated that all Thais are prostitutes "at one time or another" I would like for him to tell us more about his impressions of Thai people. Adiós. 1) No, you are attributing things to people that they have never said, as well as attributing meanings to actions that have never been explained. 2) You are breaking the rules and know it, but with that many extra screennames it just doesn't matter to you what happens to some of them. 3) Your pushing the agenda to make most Thais criminals is deplorable. I wouldn't keep making those type of accusations to "score points". First you can't prove it. Secondly every time you bring it up, you imply the moderators are not doing their job properly.
