eddiemonster
Hi I realise that a sponsor's letter may or may not be actually needed in a non-imm O application at Hull consul but I am trying to cover all options. Does anyone know what needs to be included? Does it have to be written by a Thai/Thai resident? Does it need to be in Thai? Any other things need to be considered? Does anyone have an example that they would be kind enough to share? Thanks, Eddie
ubonjoe
I think everything you need to know you will find in this document from Hull. http://www.thaiconsul-uk.com/downloads/Ab%...tion%20Pack.doc It has one form called a "Self-Certification Guarantee Form" that you fill out. astral
IME and it is a long time ago, anyone can act as a sponsor. They simply have to guarantee to pay your fare back home, if the Thai authorities decide to deport you. Rather stupid I know. We are not children, but then again cases have come up in this forum where people do not appear to have the funds to return home.

Thanks Ubonjoe I aready have that and it says the "Self-Certification Guarantee Form" should be completed for all visa applications. Is this then accepted as a sponsors letter for a non-imm visa application?

That would seem to chime with the "Self-Certification Guarantee Form" but doesn't seem to qualify as a sponsors letter. Its not a problem to get someone to write it, just not sure what to put in it or whether it needs to be in Thai or English.
