Cnn Via Portable Device?

Featured Replies

I don't think there is a feasible solution to my little problem, but there is huge amount of knowledge on TV so here goes:

I live most of the time in a resort bungalow in Chao Lao Beach, outside of Chanthaburi. It is a very lovely, brand new resort right on the sea [Ocean Beach Resort - for more information PM me]. Unfortunately however, no cable is offered in Chao Lao Beach, only satellite, and the resort owner does not yet subscribe to the full UBC offering English speaking channels, like CNN, etc.

I saw somewhere a TV setup for a car which could possible work for me. I would just hook it up in my room in the resort. I don't know if it used satellite, or just regular TV frequency. If UBC or some other company offers mobile coverage, then I should be able to subscribe to a premium package which includes CNN, History, etc. Having a dish installed on my bungalow isn't feasible because, although we have been renting monthly, we like to travel and doubt if the owner would agree to it anyway. Right now we drive to Jomtien (just 2.5 hrs) and stay there for a few days often so I can watch some English TV [and eat some great full English breakfasts at Simple Simon's :D ].

Such big big problems I have here in Thailand, right? :o

That agreed to however, anybody see any technical remedies?
