I'm struggling with ticking off all the things one has to do. Bike insurance is another mystery. A mate has none and only pays road tax. someone pays about 600 Baht and I got a quote from the sponsor for > 3,300 Baht (100,000 for someone else's death but then it's usually us bikers who get killed and we are not responsible for most accidents).

How about pinning some general advice to new bikers here?

a) Green Book

:o what are the cops checking and looking for?

c) exchange of a foreign for a Thai license?

d) requirements to be allowed to take the driving license test? (VISA or a residence permit?)

e) breakdown cover? or do you all just flag down a guy in a pickup truck, waving 500 Baht?

Cheers, Chris
