Visa For Wife

Featured Replies

Hey

One of my friends arrived a month ago (Non I + WP OK)

His wife joined him yesterday on a single tourist visa (2 months). She is french

He would like to know what to, how long it takes and to whom they should talk to get her spouse a visa allowing her to stay here

Can they do it by themselves?

Thanks to everyone

Provided they are legally married

and he has one year extension of his Non Imm visa

she can get a similar extension based on being his dependant.

Normally I would expect the employer to take care of this

but they can do it for themselves.

Thanks Astral

I was told that his company wasn't going to do it but they are legally married and he has got the requiremnt

Would you know, by any chance, where to get the documents needed or is it better to go through an agency (would help if you knew one too)?

Thanks again

No need for an agency. He can do it him self easily. Just go to Immigration with their Marriage Certificate. It will have to be translated as they only accept Thai or English documents. Assuming of course that he himself is on a 12 month extension from Immigration. These are the extension rules. His Wife needs 2.20(3) Have a chat with Immigration and see what they need.
