Shipping To The Usa

Okay, so my boyfriend is still staying in BKK and I needed some items shipped to the US. He said alright and he used the post office next to his apartment 3j Court. So the package is about 3-4 kg... I'm not sure it even weighs that much. But anyhow I think he sent it surface and the post office woman said it would take around a month and cost him about 800-900 baht. The stuff in it was pretty expensive. I mean it totaled 70 american bucks.

Anyhow, he was stupid enough to NOT get a receipt and then when he told me he forgot to get a receipt DIDN'T even bother to go get one like the next day. Even though the post office is right next to his apartment. He said the lady wouldn't remember him ( a 6'5 blond hair, blue eyed german that spoke to her in thai?) yeah there are a lot of those type of people walking around thailand!

Anyhow he sent the item like Jan. 10th and now it's March 1st and still no item. How long does it generally take and is there anyway he can dispute it? Is it too late to get a receipt or ask the post office lady for information? How long would it be stuck in US customs?
