I am going to be in the US for 2 weeks. i am renting a car which is reasonable. In the states it is absolutely necessary to have full coverage in case of accident since the lawyers could take everything i own. the problem is the full coverage in a car rental is more than the actual rental. i use American express which has a travelers insurance reasonably but not full coverage. i am not as worried about the car but hitting someone, unlikely but possible, and being sued for everything i got. goodbye Thailand retirement, hello wall mart worker.

does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
