Matichon has a column called " คอลัมน์ อดีตแห่งปัจจุบัน "

Might the phrase "อดีตแห่งปัจจุบัน" mean "History Repeats Itself"? Any thoughts?

I think the meaning might not be that specific.

Maybe it means something like: "history today" or "the past at present".

i.e. Today the newspaper looks back to something that happened in the past (and might become relevant today).

Names of regular columns in such publications do tend to be quite abstract. I guess it gives each columnist something unique, as well as a fairly free scope for their articles. The overall vibe I get from this is along the lines of Jay Jay's suggestion. Does it fit with the overall content of the column?

Note that the idea of history repeating is most often expressed with ประวัติศาสตร์ซ้ำรอย.
