Today (Sunday) there developed a car swallowing hole at the stop light where Wireless meets Sathon....at the Thai Belgian crossover. Since the road probably will not be repaired by Monday you should allow some extra time. This is the intersection that also sports the infamous 8 second green light.

I saw that hole as well. I think that intersection is in serious trouble, just 20 feet or so to the left are more patches/fixes. I feel sorry for the guy who lost the wheel.

I wonder how the engineers will fix this intersection, being that it's so close to a bridge and subway system.

By 10:15 this morning it had been repaired. Not just a metal plate; asphalt. But, will it last? :o

For a hole like that to appear there must be some serious subsidence going on. Unbelievable that a safe and effective repair has been put in place so quickly.

They saw the hole, put dirt over it, re-asphalt, reschedule to do the same in 4 or so months.

No, it won't affect the bridge. Made sure by going to Erawan shrine.

In a friend's village there was a section of the access road that was washed away late last year in some flooding, after some weeks and a few motorbike accidents the hole was filled with sand and stone, I don't believe a concrete surface was laid. All eyes await raining season - the contractor is planning to send his kids to college care of this hole over the coming years.
