G54
OK, I have a problem with Mosquito sprays, they make me cough an splutter like an old asthmatic dog. Yet sometimes I need to use the spray. The question is, how much for an average size bedroom, for example? Is one small squirt enough to do the job effectively or is a longer burst needed? Yes, I know about using the electric bats for zapping mozzies, but sometimes the spray needs to be done and though I try to do it on the way out of the house for a time, that is also not always convenient. TIA. dang, missed a C off critters in the title! Edited March 10, 2009 by G54

coventry
We find that just using the aircon is sufficient to keep the mosquito's at bay.
F1fanatic
Use one of the 'plug in' mosquito repellents. They work v well.
GrahamF
If you can find it, look for a spray that is DEET free. That is usually the ingredient that causes problems, FYI DEET can also cause seizures in dogs if they are exposed to too much of it.

toybits
I don't use insecticide to get rid of mosquitos in the house or in my bedroom. Instead, I use a zapper that is like a tennis racquet. It has a rechargeable battery and is very selective in killing only undesirable insect (flies included). I have one beside me when I sleep so when a mozzie comes buzzing near my ear - ZAPPPP. pattaya_girl
Keep you Mosquito nets closed at all times, if you have them. I recently bought some Mosquito Repelant Cream which i find very efficiant - it is called ' OFF ' it really works.
Pakboong
Listerine in a spray bottle works really well. Also, keep a sheet of cling free or similar clothes dryer fabric softener in your pocket. They hate the stuff and you won't be bothered further.

ScubaBuddha
You can try the Bugslock wristbands. They don't have DEET. Just citronella.
