March 11, 200917 yr Probably, but you can't work in the business behind the bar. Sales is one of the things you can't work in as a foreigner, as you can't do work that a Thai person can do.

March 11, 200917 yr You can ask the question how legal that is. Have a look around on this webiste: http://www.boi.go.th/english/how/legal_iss...n_investors.asp
March 11, 200917 yr Simple! the guys you know are working illegally and if caught working without a work permit risk arrest and deportation. If you do a search for jobs allowed for farang you will find working in a bar is not one of them. Teaching English if qualified or working as a diving instructor, if qualified are a few that come to mind

This would give you up to 15 months stay but would need you to exit and return every 90 days. You would not be able to work unless you found a job and were able to get a Work Permit.

March 12, 200917 yr can i do this indeffinately, ie return to uk each year and re-apply for said visa ? Yes you can. As I said you can stretch it out to 15 months by doing a border run just before it expires.
