Hi, where would be a nice place in BKK to sit down on a lazy afternoon and surf the net away on my notebook? Somewhere quite perhaps with nice scenary but also nice to do some people watching. Any such place?

One place to consider is Coffee Society on Silom right by Saladaeng BTS and Silom MRT stations. Decent food menu, reasonable coffee and tea of course, and FREE Wi-Fi and electrical outlets at many (if not most or all?) of the tables, so you can sit and browse for *hours* in a quiet environment.

Of course, many (all?) Starbucks have WiFi for a fee, as well.

Gulliver's Soi 5 has a decent wifi connection. Bit gloomy indoors, but smoke-free and some 'talented' pool players to watch.

Larry's Dive in Suhumvit Soi 22. Coffee is cheaper and better than at any Starfcuk and internet is free.

Gonna check out Silom, seems like a vibrant area. I've mostly tried the ones in lower Sukhmvit already, not my cup of tea.
