March 13, 200917 yr Got 'only' a single entry non-imm B visa last week at KL because WP is only for 3 months. Needed one year WP to get multiple entry non B visa. Problem is I cannot get 1 year WP because salary is below 50.000 thb/month and a raise is out of the question. Do I have to visit a Thai Embassy/Consulate every 3 months now? Is an extension possible and if so will it be for 3 months too? Am legally married to Thai. Anyone with a solution? Thanks.
March 13, 200917 yr With minimum 40k per month income, which you have, you can get an annual extension of stay for the reason of living with your Thai wife. -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

March 13, 200917 yr As far as I know there is no minimum income requirement for a WP, only for an extension of stay from immigration.

March 13, 200917 yr In the OP’s case, the Labour Department issuing/extending his work permit seems to be the problem. -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
March 14, 200917 yr Author Thank you all for instant responding. You've been of great help. I'll apply for a 1 year extension of stay. It's indeed the Labour Office that wants to see a minimum 50K/month income to issue a 1 year WP. I've always had '3 months WP' but still received multiple entry non-imm B visas (in KL) until last week. They must have changed the rules a bit. Thanks again.
