Koh Chang Or Elsewhere...

Featured Replies

I am going through and trying to sort the details of our upcoming trip. However I am finding it very difficult to narrow down our island destination. I originally wanted to do Krabi, but I have read that during the time we will be there (June/July) an eastern location might be better due to weather. Is koh Chang as good as I am reading? WE went to Samui and phangan last year. I am sure no matter where we are, it will be beautiful and we will have to make ourselves leave. What are your opinions? I am looking to find a place that is relativly easy to get to from BKK or Chaing mai. There is just so much to choose and I don't want to be hasty and end up settling for the same places we went last year (even though they are wonderful) Thanks again for your input! Always helpful!

^^ Kelly, Koh Chang is nice. I am headed there myself next month with the family. If you want it a bit more rustic and basic, the smaller Koh Kut (Khood) further along the coast is also nice.

NanLaew,

If you go to Koh Chang and would like luxury accommodations on a party beach, I would highly recommend Bhumiyama resort on Lonely Beach.

If I were you though, I'd roll the dice and go to Krabi. If you get lucky and miss the storms, you will have any beach all to yourself and it's easily the most beautiful place I've seen in Thailand.
