March 16, 200917 yr Sorry if this has been covered already. I know that tourist visas are free until around June (?), but are the extensions free also? Taking a trip to an embassy for a free 90 day visa (with free extensions) is certainly a much better deal than a free 60 day visa. Thanks in advance.
March 16, 200917 yr Author Thanks, Mario. That truly sucks. For a moment I thought Thailand was offering a deal similar to almost every other country in the world - providing a free 90 day stay to Americans and people from other Western countries. What was I thinking?

March 16, 200917 yr Just received a new tourist visa back from Brisbane (Australia) consulate. After checking by phone a copy of the airline booking was required to prove the trip was legit. The visa has "gratis" on the top line.
March 16, 200917 yr How about double tourist visas in Vientiane, are both entries free? Believe it or not we have had reports that they are.
