patthi
Hi all I'm British and 42 years old, living in Chonburi. This site is very impressive Basically my Visa ran out 4 months ago and I am terrified, I've been told not to worry just go airport pay 20,000 bht and get plane to No.1 Jalan Tunku, Malaysia and get a new non immigrant visa.! My Questions Is it as easy as I have been told ?? I only have 50,000 bht will this cover, does anyone know the right price ?? Any advice is much appreciated ?? Can I get a multiple entry ?? Will I get thrown out of Thailand cos I have my home here and few investments ?? I have been living in Chonburi, Thailand for the last 3 years now on non immigrant 'B' Multi Visa's and usually do the Cambodia 90 day extension then pop back to UK on the final few days before last stamp runs out just for 2 weeks to get me new 'B' Visa sorted........ END of last year I was advised to this office where I met a lady who could speak very good English, she told me because I had 3 years of non immigrant visa's in a row that she could get me a 1 year residency visa and with this I only had to go jomtien every 90 days to sign in & all for a cost of 25,000 bht She even introduced me to a Swiss Guy she had just sorted and showed me his passport. I Paid the 14,000 deposit, (Friday) went to the bank, and Jomtien with her to sign papers so I was sure it was all good, had a call later and she said it won't be completed until Monday, another on Monday saying it was a special day & that jomtien weren't working, Tuesday she had been involved in an accident which took 3 weeks for her to recover now I was worried because I knew if she had not done anything my Visa had finished. Anyway she phoned and said could she send her boyfriend round to collect the remaining 11,000 bht I said sure as long as he brings the passport back finished, didn't hear from them again so 1 week I phoned no answerer this went on for another 2 weeks then not even a ring tone, trying for the last 3 months. Ha Ha and the office I met her in was no more, went on the hunt for days with no luck, in the end a friend of my girlfriend took her to the police cos she said she knew someone up quite high. I did not go for obvious reasons. He told her they know of her as this isn't the first complaint and he would get it back for me ....eeemmmmmmm. Couldn't believe it 5 days later it's in my hand. Never thought I'd see it again. (Lost the money though 34 k) Many thanks in advance Pat.
Lite Beer
Get a cheap flight out of Thailand, go to the airport and pay the 20,000 Baht fine. It is that simple, but it is not if you get caught in Thailand on overstay. Get youtself legal again then you can go on from there. You should be able to get a Visa with no problem, even if it is only a Tourist Visa. As for the scam? Always deal with Immigration personally and never listen to anyone who says they can sort anything or fast track or do a deal etc.

InterestedObserver
Agreed, buy a cheap airplane ticket to Malaysia. Pay the 20,000THB overstay fine at the airport. Get a Non-Immigrant or Tourist visa in Malaysia and start over again. You say that you have the resources, there is no excuse to be on overstay. Do it today, don't wait to get caught!
