Learning Thai

Featured Replies

I have a Thai bought lap top with the dual keys etc and I am after a Thai typing tutor that I can download. Anybody know a link to a good one. I can't go out and buy one because I am stuck in Oz for the next couple of months :o

Personally I learned by going in Thai chat rooms. Now I can type faster than most Thai's.

I believe there is a program called "thai typing tutor" that you can download for free... that's what I used and learned the keys in one evening.

Agree - in the absence of a specialized computer program, just typing regularly will do the trick.

Start out with copying short sentences and move on to longer ones. An hour a day and you'll be speeding up in no time.

It took me about 2 weeks of 10 minutes a day practice with the program available at http://www.users.bigpond.com/gurce/thai/type/ to get me up to speed. Hunting and pecking in Thai sucks big time!

If you are on a Mac, this post might help. If you are on a PC, scroll down for the typing tutor resources.
