It works the same as the old one with a few more things to click and send. Don't you like the way it sends you to one of their pay sites if you want to add more emoticons.

I have been using trillian for a few years now and have been quite happy with it , but last week I downloaded the latest version and have found it to be quite bloated. So now I am thinking of changing to gaim and doing without file transfer capabilities - which I have not used for quite a while anyway.

I'm on broadband and haven't noticed a difference in communication speeds. Maybe thats why. What I did notice were emoticons were free on the first day of use and now whenever I go to add new emoticons, it redirects me to their page offering new emoticons at $1.50.

$1.50 - for a graphic - that can be ripped off the minute you send it!!! Talk about "money for old rope"...

Saying that, people pay to download polyphonic ring tones, that also knock around as MIDI files which have been free for donkeys.
