It works the same as the old one with a few more things to click and send. Don't you like the way it sends you to one of their pay sites if you want to add more emoticons. :o

seriously?

I have been using trillian for a few years now and have been quite happy with it , but last week I downloaded the latest version and have found it to be quite bloated. So now I am thinking of changing to gaim and doing without file transfer capabilities - which I have not used for quite a while anyway.

I'm on broadband and haven't noticed a difference in communication speeds. Maybe thats why. What I did notice were emoticons were free on the first day of use and now whenever I go to add new emoticons, it redirects me to their page offering new emoticons at $1.50.

Cheers, I've got to go and get the pickup washed, so I'll start downloading now. Should be ready in an hour or so :o

..... their page offering new emoticons at $1.50.

$1.50 - for a graphic - that can be ripped off the minute you send it!!! :o Talk about "money for old rope"...

Saying that, people pay to download polyphonic ring tones, that also knock around as MIDI files which have been free for donkeys.
