Thieves Kill Dog, Rob Warehouse

Featured Replies

In the early hours of Friday morning thieves broke into a wholesale warehouse in Nongprue district after poisoning the guard dog. Police from Banglamung station were called to the scene by the 46-year-old Thai female owner a few hours later when she came down to open the store and discovered it had been robbed. The woman told officers she heard her guard dog barking at around 3:00am but took no notice and went back to her slumbers.

Included among the stolen items stolen 600 cartons of cigarettes, 200 refill phone cards, and a 2-baht weighted gold necklace as well as bottles of Thai whisky. The estimated value of the stolen haul is around one million baht. The owner thinks a former employee, who resigned on 10 March, might well be responsible for the break-in and theft. Police are searching for a thief, or thieves, with a drinking, smoking, and mobile phone addiction. This should narrow the search to about 25 million people.
