Nong Kai Visa Run

Featured Replies

Last week I made a visa run to Nong Kai. I hired a driver to take me across the Friendship bridge 700 Baht. The entry visa to Laos was 1500 Baht and it took almost 2 hours to issue it! The end result was about 30 minutes spent at the duty free area and back home. Can anyone tell me, is it possible to go the the duty free stores without buying an entry visa and return to Thailand?

Thai immigration looks for the other countries stamp before they will stamp you back into Thailand.

You wan it not so inexpensive?

Next, go with the Bus over the bridge, after the Thai Passportcontrol.

I think 20 Baht for the Bus one way and bring 30 or 35.- Dollars, depends on the country you are from,

thats cheaper than the 1.500.- B. and would be the regular amount.

Kind regards, Alfred
