any one know anywhere doing telescopic curtain rails that would 'jam' tight wall to wall without drilling for fixing?

get two leangths of conduit.

get a bolt

cut the head off the bolt

get a coule of large nuts to fit the bolt but smaller than the conduit ( or use washers..

Instant curtain rods and it didn't even need McGuiver.

Get it? I don't.

the conduit is for the rail with one long piece and one short piece.

the threaded part of the bolt( which has had its head cut off) is placed loosly in the conduit.

the length is adjusted by using the nuts.

As it gets longer it presses into the wall and is held.

if yolu want you could omit the extra piece of conduit it is just there so people only see the rod not the screw.

These rods can be bought at Home Pro and Index. They might also be available at shopping malls. The theoretical maximum span is 3 m - that's the longest I ever saw. Practical is probably 250 cm or less.
