vurusine Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I am a retired army officer. I served in the US army for about three decades. I have always wanted to publish my memoirs but the lack of time prevented me from doing so. Now that I have retired, I would like to share the various experiences I had while in the army, especially my account of the Iraq War in 1990-91. Though I do have in mind the substance of the book, I need help in putting it down. I require a guide for this.
Boater Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 how is this related to Thailand? ...... sounds fishy to me
thithi Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 you meant ... you didnt write at all when you were in the army???
johna Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Go ahead and write it, if it’s any good the publisher's will polish it for you, but do you really believe there is a market for book on Iraq 1990-1991
daoyai Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 You could join a writers group to meet other less than pro writers, or take a class on writing at a community college, there are formulas to help organize the story and create something readable, you can self publish on your computer if you just want your story told and saved for family, friends and Army brothers.

There have been quite a few successful books based on or around Desert Shield/Storm. Good luck.
