No More Tourist Visas In Vientiane?

Featured Replies

Has anyone heard anything about tourist visas no longer being available from the consulate in Vientiane???

Someone mentioned it in this thread, and I was just about to buy a ticket to Vientiane to get a tourist visa, so would love to know if things have changed!

No, nothing has changed in regards to Vientiane and tourist visas..

I should imagine that someone confused the ending of 30 days at the border with Consulate issued Visas.

There is no change of policy at Vientianne. Visas free until June 4th.

I live in Nongkhai and did not hear anything about a change in Laos.

Went to Laos, Vientiane last week Thursday with two friends who applied for and got their double entry tourist visas (as noted free of charge).

Rumor control log in please. :o
