Since R's and L's often get switched...I'm guessing she's saying "rai sa ra" which means "ridiculous" or "nonsense"

According to the other posts, it means your girlfriend can't pronounce "r" correctly. :o

It could be a comment on what you just said ("That's nonsense") or on the argument itself ("This is ridiculous/pointless"). It's not the same as "Nonsense!", as in "I don't believe you".
