Canon 450d Digital Camera Vs Win7

Featured Replies

I have a problem, i want to get the photos off my shiny new digital camera, and as i am using a desktop its got no built in card-reader, so i have to use the USB supplied cable.

Every time i try to connect it, it goes to 'updating software' connection thingie and then reports 'Failed' a few moments later. I've searched around on the new and haven't been able to come up with anything. In the end i just took the memory card out of the camera, put it in my laptop and copied it all off there... but thats a long winded approach and i would like to just plug in the camera to the base until and get it all directly.

I'm guessing the drivers are not Windows 7 Compatible (as Win7 is still in beta etc etc) - I've tried using the software that came with the Camera and i've tried downloading the newest version of the software online - but nothing seems to be able to help me establish that initial connection...

... any ideas?

If you know about Adobe Software, Adobe Bridge CS4 might work. CS3 as well. I haven't tried it myself

as I am using XP. With XP my Canon camera works both with Bridge and Canons Zoom Browser Software
