Hi,

the extension on my first of a a double entry visa is about to expire. I have extended the first 60 days by 30 days and am about to take the journey to the border to enable the next 60 days of my double entry visa. A friend asked to see my passport and said that as the Visa states (on the stamp and insert from Vientienne) that I must enter before 7th of April (tomorrow), this goes against the stamp of the extension - 8th of April.

He says that if I go the border after the 7th of April then the 2nd half of my tourist visa will be anulled. Is this correct or can I go on the date of the extension stamp and redeem part 2 of the Tourist Visa?

Yes. You have to enter Thailand today 6th. Or you will lose it as your Visa will have expired.

I guess I have missed all the Casino buses, what's the best way for me get to the border at this time of day... anyone know?

The 9.30 Ekamamai service doesnt run Mondays...

Still here? If so, just flag down a taxi and negotiate a fee. Should be baht 1,200-1,500 for the day and you pay for the fuel. Pickup trucks will also do this, even a van, altho could be up to baht 2,000.

Just to let you know...

Go to the Northern Bus Termianl, go to Counter 30-31 (Downstair/inside)

I left Bangkok on the 11 o'clock bus, I think they leave every hour.

207 Baht to the Arana Poipet, probably wrong spelling!

60 Baht on a bike to the border point, got there for 3.30pm

Straight in and out of Cambodia, no queuing at all.

Took a government bus from the car park for 160 Baht to Ekamai, left at 4.30pm arrived around 8.45pm.

Easy really and was 12 hours door to door... from Pinklaos.
