I have been looking at flights from Singapore to Phuket for this weekend as it is a long weekend with Friday off work.

As it currently stands after checking 5 mins ago on the net: (dpt Fri, rtn Sun)

Silkair (SIA) $462

Tiger $ 495

AirAisa $324 without rtn as fully booked (with rtn on Sat $563)

(all prices include Tax)

I know it is very rare but the budget airlines are more expensive than the premium carrier! It pays to shop around.....

On Silk I have even managed to cash in my airmiles for this weekend and so have managed to get a rtn flight for free!! happy days.......budget my arse...

Budget airlines are always more expensive even booking near departure date.

Best to avoid it (budget airlines).

Why would you want to fly budget get you can fly full fare.

Keep thoses cheap seats for people like me.

Well, long weekend, start of songran, Phuket bike week....

Expect to pay more on accommodation as well.
