When you think about it, it was always a likely canidate for demolition..........big prime land area and only a low rise hotel on it. Always was a cheap place to stay for the night when needed. :o

Over a 20year period the prices only ever went up from about Bt 100 to Bt450 a night, the food and booze was very reasonable, rooms all a/c apart from the bungalows at the back, good pool and so easy to stagger to almost anywhere from there.

First stop was usually the Malibu opposite and lately to She -nags the Irish pub.

Used to stay at another similar joint called the PK villa but it was demolished and they built the Royal Garden shopping thingy on top of it.

During the days when all the gin joints stayed open late (ie all night) they (PV)would still be serving up as the sun came over the horizon. :)A couple for the road and the night porter,a bit of Brekki and it was then off to bed :o

PV-RIP :D

A sad moment indeed. Palm Villa was I stayed at the first time I came to Pattaya as a wide eyed and gullible tourist in 1998 and in the four years I 've lived in here I've often gone back there after bar fining a cutie.

:D

That might be true until you see them building beer bars on the plot :o

I believe the Vietienne Restaurant (very good Thai food) is relocating to an area near drinking street (north Pattaya)

I stayed there too, back in 1985..............

How time flies!!
