I have a lady friend (age 25) who I have known for about two years, who has become a regular companion to me. I hesitate to call her a girlfriend (even though she has used that term), because of the limits she has placed on the relationship. To me it is services for hire. She is currently finishing a B.S. Degree and until recently had a job in a restaurant. She says she was (and apparently still is) a mia noi to a wealthy Thai man in Bankok. He visits her once or twice per month she says. At first she said this relationship had ended, but recently admitted that it is ongoing. He supposedly pays her 10,000 bht per mo +or-. He apparently does not care what other liasons she is carring on with. As for my situation, she sees me twice per week for "physical activities" and other times for lunch, dinner, etc. She seems quite intelligent, speaks acceptable English and is well mannered & "polished". The tiem I spend with her is "quality", but it does not go beyond her set limits. She says she doesn't care if I have other ladies and I presume she has other "local boys" for pay or free, when she so desires. She may be some sort of on-call escort, but I am not sure about this. She is quite inflexible about the times we meet and these are generally in the daytime. Dinners don't go past 8:30 PM. I give her 8-10,000 per mo. Is this a fair deal or not (for me)? ... and yes I know all you real men out there don't pay anything for female companionship and there a girls by the score out there just waiting for the taking for free by a Farang. But, let's be realistic here. I don't live in BKK, by the way, but am in an Issan city. Beautiful English speaking ladies, available to foreigners are rare here.

Pay what ever your happy with.If for example you were say living in Pattaya and single what would 10,000 baht get you per month..................probably a maximum of 5 nights with a bar girl(am including bar fine and drinks in this price),so apart from the cost of dinners on top i'd say you got a good deal if you like being with her.

She is the best woman I ahve found in four years here. But, I am frustrated with the limits she has set on this. It could get much better, particularly emotional closeness. She doesn't want it. I think she is in love with the mia noi man, and she wants "freedom" as she puts it. Assums any closer relationship will restrict her fun. I think she is the "roamer", while I am quite satisfied with only her.

Even my wife requires an allowance to keep her happy. Does that make her a prostitute? No I don't think so, no money no honey is the rule for everyone. I like her to have free time for me so I encourage her not to work thus she has to have some means of income and I provide that. If I stopped paying her would she look for greener pastures? Probably but I ain't never gonna run out of dough so that's ok. Hopefully we are together til the bitter end, one weekly allowance at a time.

By the way once we get to America I will encourage her to work. It's just here in Thailand the amount of money and experience she'd gain is so trivial it doesn't seem worthwhile and I'd rather she had time for me than breaking her back for crumbs.

Just keep it at an "arrangement level".............you start falling for this girl and you gonna have problems.Just remember there's thousands out there to choose from.Had a saying when living in pattaya "you're never home till the keys are in the door"
