I've never been there, but the vetinery centre mentioned at Khon Kaen University is the biggest and best in town I believe. However, the normal vet clinics are normally pretty professional and well-equipped in my experience in other provinces.

Many moons ago (1991?), though, I had a cat with an injured leg caused by a dog bite and took it to Khon Kaen looking for a vet to X-ray it. Couldn't find one, so took it round a normal medical clinic and they were most helpful and accommodating. Didn't bat an eyelid in X-raying it and got the negatives back in double quick time, showing it was just muscle damage and no fractured bone. Cost me all of two hundred baht or so! Wouldn't get that kind of service in UK! :D

Good luck in finding a vet. :o

cuban, wanted to say, i know that we also as a standard practice for any dogs or cats car accident victims, always, automatically gave injection of antibiotics before almost anything else, then xray, pain killers, etc...
