nelson111
Does anyone know how the UK Embassy view credit card debt? I've got around GBP 6000 of debt on my 2 credit cards, out of a limit GBP 9000. Over the last 3 months I've put away GBP 4000 in a savings account to cover initial expenses while we find work in the UK. So, I've technically got minus GBP 2000. But have access to GBP 7000. Should I just show the Embassy the savings account or should I come clean about the credit cards too? One of the reasons we're moving home now is so that we can pay off the debt a bit more quickly. kennkate
Credit Card statements Not required. Only last 6 Months Bank Statements Maybe just to Check Your Income Outgoings. well how could they possibly know about All your Debts Unless you wanted to tell them Sure they can see your Credit Card Payments if you pay them directly out of the bank As for any other outgoings ? I dont think it will make that much differance if you are keeping in credit at the bank.
mariner29
As long as you show you can maintain and accommodate her without public funds this should be fine.
nelson111
Thanks for your thoughts, gents. I figured the 'no recourse to public funds' factor would be their biggest concern.
