The Thai text above says "Mai Mee Jod (Gen. Suntorn's nickname), Mai Mee Thaicom" meaning had there been no Gen. Suntorn, Thaksin wouldn't have won the Thaicom satellite concession. You are democracy in Thailand. Democracy in Thailand is you. What you have been doing doesn't count. Words speak lounder than actions you know. Can read numerous quotes during the TRT years where THaksin openly stated that principles of democracy such as freedom of the press need to be set aside for the good of the country. He ignored the constitution. And now he is all high and mighty trying to bring it back? Bozo. The main reason he got the concessions was his good mate Chalerm plus a few nice deals with army and military as required...and so it is not too surprising he would be good mates (even now) with them. So Chuan let him off the hook. So what? Sunthorn, Suchinda, Chuan, Thaksin, Abhisit. All part of the elite. All simply looking out for themselves. The military junta sealed the deal, after Chatichai was deposed in the coup in part because he wanted a piece of the action (and other interests the military wanted in on). He wasnt the only one. There were other telecoms concessions given out at the time. What the OP forgot to mention is that Suchinda installed Anand Panyarachun as Prime Minister in 1991. One of the first acts of this new government was to award Telecom Asia ( owned by CP Group and now part of which is now True) a concession to install land lines in Bangkok. So you can probably guess what job Suchinda ended up in after he was forced to resign following 'Black May' 1992 . . . Chairman of Telecom Asia. Surayud didn't not order nobody to fire at protestors. and became later PM in the camoflage government. evil commies of 76 became later co founder of TRT. a commie slayer, celebate and political father of thaksin was opposed that thaksin drunk milk and read foreign books. somcha wongsawat side an side with pornthip had a beef with purachai. abhisits wing man newin said that Samak wasn't so bad at all, just got cheated by thaksin. chai chidchob said he don't want become PM. it was all a lot fun and the music and the food was good too.
