Contact VIBE on Thai Visa. His wife sells foam mattreses that are quite soft and comfortable and delivered to your home.

Thanks - I'm really after a sofa that converts for my second bedroom as I want to use the space rather than it just lay idle until someone come to stay! tried all the usual places

YOu could try Index Carrfoo butmake sure they are long enough. Or you could save a couple of baht possibly at a smaller store that makes thai furniture. I paid a Red Taxi driver 800 baht to drive me around to all the stores and push me in a wheelchair to see furniture when I bough mine. In your case you would only need a couple of hours and any of them can help you find all the places.'

ps Getting the driver to stop and have a bowl of noodles with him does wonders.

We got an excellent one we've been very happy with. The arms and back fold down, but it's not a traditional sofa bed where the bed comes up from underneath. Very comfortable in both positions, and not the usual boring or gaudy look. I think the place was called SB furniture. It was on the way to Baan Tawai, those familiar with me will forgive the lack of better instructions. I'll consult the hubby and clarify. It was really close though, and near a big Sony store, if that helps. 9K baht and a great value at that.
