Most of the brute force attacks on my webserver these days come from China. It's becoming one of those countries that would be nice to disconnect from the rest of the internet.

Just block that and the related IP-Range in your firewall!

been port scanned today about 16 times so far, 10am-1.30pm ip is: 119.117.108.150

whois info says CNC Group CHINA169 Liaoning Province Network

anyone else?

what ports do you have accepting connections from outside ?

Can only recommend to use Comodo firewall or Online Armor! Additionally block that IP but actually entire China

should be blocked as they will try from other IP's sooner or later.

Activate the firewall in your router if not done already!
