Sunday may 03, 10 p.m. Someone dropped 2 kittens at our place, still blind, I think they are pretty young, hours our days, no idea. no mother around. they look still strong, but they are permanently looking for milk and I have no idea what to do. Is there some animal shelter in bangkok where I could bring them for help? they are getting weaker by every hour and I don't like to watch them dying without at least trying something.

thanks in advance for any advice,

philipp

Try SCAD.

They might have a mother still producing milk.

Whatever you do, don't give them pure milk, they will die from diarrhea.

Baby formula is the best you can get in short notice.

Hope for the best :)

You can try soaking a bit of cloth in formula and let them suckle at it. Or feed with an eyedropper.

I did this with a pair of racoons who's mother was killed.

They both survived and grew huge, evidenced by their coming back to visit after I released them.

Good luck

UPDATE 11:40 p.m.:

A mother, another cat from our place just took them and carried them to some hiding place, one first, and half an hour later the second. She didn't seem to be fond of them at the first place, but she suddenly she took one by one and disappeared. I hope she did that to take care and not for having a snack, what do you think? She had kittens some weeks ago, so chances are good that she still has milk, are they?

Well, however, the cats took over cats business and we are released, I made everyone around crazy, Farang Baah :)

What a weekend, Friday night the taxi I was in ran over a dog and I didnt find that dog when I walked back(2:30 a.m., scaaary), today the kittens...

Many thanks to all of you for your fast replies, really good to know that there are people out there like you and having this forum to get the attention.

Hi eek!

It wasn't their mother, but another mother cat I know quite well, kind of boss-cat here, but good natured. Somebodies taken her (older) kittens away the day before I found the newborns. A perfect fit! Obviously she was not too fond at first sight because she seemed to wait first if the real mother is around. Then I fed her beside the kittens, very slow that she is exposed to their crying longer and suddenly she carried them, one by one, somwhere below the house. I`ve been looking for them yesterday but couldnt find them. Maybe in 8 weeks they will pop up playing in front of the house :)

All the best to you too!

"Kittens Found, How To Do?"

Imagine my disappointment to find this was NOT another interesting Isaan recipe thread... :)

:D:D:D:D Sorry for that, but now I know how to get your attention. :D

Reminds me of last week when I asked the pharmacist in Thai language for medicine against a goat, instead against allergy. (Pae instead of Paeh)

Yep, not English and also not Thai native speaker, have lots of fun here :D

Back to the topic:

Today (foster)mother and kittens were not seen. Is that story still wonderfull? Let's wait and see.

I was never a cat person but three years ago rescued two about three month old feral kittens my dogs were about to kill. We raised them keeping them apart from the dogs and one of them became tame and comes in the house to sleep on the sofa and even gets on with the dogs now. The other never really liked humans much and wandered all the time till she died after being either scalded or sprayed with chemical. Today the dogs are chained up because they found a tiny kitten up a drain pipe and tried to pull it out to kill it. We are hoping the mother will come back and rescue it. Otherwise......
