230kbps :) that is GPRS-EDGE speed only.

my customers have different setups, one has the telephone with the rs232 port that you connect to your computer using an usb cable and the others had the usb modem.

one is located in chaweng near the 99, another was at the waterfall and another in bongkai, all of them had the same speed.

no need to say it's even hard to check your mail, latency is extremely high.

really not worth 800 baht a month... not to mention the 8000 thousand baht for their own modem

I got it! The signal in Laem Sor is ok and speed is really good after gprs :)

I have it and it is great i am by 99 in bangrak, had some problems a few weeks back but that was because they were updating something in bkk,its great if you cant get a phone line up to your house and well worth 800b a month.

use your mobiel as a modem and you pay 100b for 20 hrs or 360 bht for 100 hours, to be used in 1 month.

its much more stable than catcdma, i had it before and i hated it! im much more happy now

I used to go through my mobile and not good at all,but maybe it is whare you are on the island, thats why i went with the cdma usb from nathon, they do cheaper ones now but they are from china and the guy in cat said not as good as the cat ones which are 10,500b.hope this helps.

....what a fairy tale, the Modems that are selling by CAT are also "Made in China", just open and look inside :)

But with a small difference, they make a lot more profit with their own "CAT" brand.

Sure, i would tell every customer the same story.....because "Money makes the world go round"
