30 Day Visa

Featured Replies

hi i am an irish citizen and have a 30 visa and i know that i can extend it for 15 more days if i want. I was wondering how do i go about obtaining a tourist visa for thailand for i would like to stay for 3 months or longer im confuesed because the thai goverment seem to keep chaging the requirments. I would like to travel the rest of south east asia when my 30 days are up and when i am done was wondering if i could get a tourist visa from cambodia or laos and if it is hard to do so and for how long does that tourist visa last for. Hope for some advice dont want to go back to Ireland just to re apply for a tourist visa!!

You have a 30 day Visa Exempt entry that can be extended for 7 days by immigration if you have a flight out of the country during those 7 days. As for the Tourist visa, you can apply for it at a local, friendly Thai Embassy or Consulate such as Phnom Penh or Vientiane. A single-entry Tourist visa will let you stay in Thailand for 90 (60+30) days and they are free until June. A double-entry Tourist visa will allow you to stay a maximum of 180 days (60+30/60+30) with one border run at the 90 day point, also free until June.

A tourist visa is 60 days and can be extended inside of Thailand for another 30 days. The extension you can get from immigration and will cost 1,900 baht. As said above, tourist visas are fre until June 4th, the extension is not free.

As said you do not have a Visa. Vientienne Laos is probably the best bet for a Tourist Visa especially while they are free.

You need a Visa to enter Laos. Around 1,500 Baht.

thanks for the help people really apprieciate it, what happens after June is there a fee? because i would like to travel 2 or 3 months before i re enter thailand do you think there will be a problem after June?...and also so i should be fine crossing the border and getting a 30 day visa into Laos...thanks for the help people it will put a huge weight off my mind.

After June 4th you will just have to pay to get a tourist visa, 1,000 baht per entry.

After June 4th it will not be a problem but it won't be free.

Getting a 30 day visa into Laos is no problem at all. Just remember to have the money and 2 photos.

thanks again just one more thing!! kind of curious Vientian is obviously very popular place that is used to get a tourist visa because of its location was just wondering is Phnom Penhs embassy ok to use is it harder to get a visa there compare to Vientian or is it all the same. Thanks again

Vientianne will give you double entry tourist visa for free, PP only a single entry.
