Toyota Vigo 4x4 Unusual Spec

Featured Replies

Inside the Tesco mall today in Petchabun city Toyota had a display.

The new smartcab vigo and a 4 door 4 x 4 Vigo priced at 769,000 Baht.

The info sheet said it was 2 .5 engine, indeed there was not the usual 3.0L badge on the side.

I checked it was 4 wheel drive as the change lever was in the usual place.

Asking the salesman why it was so cheap he also informed me that it had no air conditioning.

I never checked that but find it strange that cars in Thailand are not fitted with aircon as standard.

2.5L engine ?, was he shooting me a line on the aircon, perhaps no ABS and airbags either.

Nissan do that with some of their Navara's to get a cheaper price.

No aircon in Thailand are they puffing mad.

Built for Export To ICELAND Sales there dried up so trying to get rid here maybe :)

The 2,5L non-ABS 4x4 Double Cab is 764 000 THB per their website. The 2,5E 4x4 SHOULD have air-con per Toyota's website. Obviously non-airbag, you need the G model to get that. The 2,5L non-ABS, non-airbag 4x4 'Smart Cab' is 689 000 THB. Quite a savings as long as you don't have to sit in the back seat. The 3,0L 'Smart Cab' is 724-774 000 THB. Interestingly they don't have airbags listed for the 'Smart Cabs' like they do on the 'Double Cabs'.
