May 16, 200917 yr Hi, I need to extend my tourist visa next week. My initial two months is almost up, and I am under the impression that I can extend it for another month. I arrived via Nong Khai immigration so I suppose Chiang Mai will let me extend it here? Also I was given 2 entries so I am also under the impression that at the end of this extra month I need to do a border hop, come back same day and they'll give me another two months, afterwhich I'll be able to extend it for another month? Let me know please, Cheers Edited May 16, 200917 yr by blobman
May 16, 200917 yr You can extend your permit to stay in Chiang Mai. Just do a border run before your visas enter before date and you will get antoher 60 day entry that you can extend for another 30 days. Just be sure you leave before your visa expires or your permit to stay which ever ends first.

May 23, 200917 yr Good. Just be sure to exit/return the day before your expiration date on your visa stamp (not the new 30 day permitted to stay until stamp).
