angmo
I am a South African living in the Netherlands. Have my own software business. There seem to be many ways to get a visa and work permit. But which is the easiest option. I plan to stay there for a long period and although I will rent initially, I would like to buy property. For this i would have to start a Thai company. Question is - do I open a rep office for the first year or so and once i decide to buy property then start a company or should i just do that immediately. Or are there other better options? I would prefer not to tie up too much cash immediately. Also - how difficult is it to bring along a lover (we are not legally married). Thanks for a great forum! astral
I do not want to rain on you parade, but you are probably better off where you are. Starting a company here, in order to get a work permit and then a visa requires a substantial investment. You will not be able to bring your partner, unless you are legally married. Read through the posts over the lasy year or so. Without a marriage certificate he/she will have to support themselves with income and visa application.
