Driving Around Thailand

Featured Replies

I am taking about two weeks to explore the Thailand.

So far I have reservation for 4 nights in Krabi and rest of the days are wide open.

Thinking about taking ferry to Koh Tao for couple of days but where do you park?

Also thinking about going to Trang.

Any suggestions abut where to go, stay and eat?

for taking the ferry to Tao you can go via chumpon (nice fast ferry & secure car park) or surathani.

Or for something totally different you can do a nice overland trip........

Just back from 5000 km trip from Phuket all the way up the Gulf and then up to Nong Khai before heading into Laos for two weeks and then driving back down.

Fantastic trip (2nd time have done it).

The scenery as you go across Thailand is ever changing and the roads are far better than you would think.

Thanks, but our priority for this trip is to snorkle as much as possible.

So we will probably spend more time on the coast.

We will try to enjoy the scenery but we will just take the faster route to get to the next point.

Checkout the Northeast Isan, Ubon, Yasothon. Where ever you drive be safe and happy happy camping :):D:D:D

Thanks, Big Snake.

But I think I am going to stick with Southern Thailand for this trip.
