I don’t believe Iran is being 'battered' into submission; rather, I suspect they are strategically husbanding their top-tier assets. Their primary goal seems to be holding back their most advanced precision weaponry to eventually blind the U.S. targeting the 'eyes and ears' (radar, SIGINT, and satellite uplinks) in the region. Currently, they appear to be using secondary-tier hardware against Israel to inflict civilian 'fatigue' and terror a proof of concept designed to drain Iron Dome interceptors without revealing their full hand. However, if Iran has successfully preserved its elite missile stock through this onslaught, then 'Stage Two' could see truly critical infrastructure come into scope. Iran operates on a highly calibrated calculus of proportionality; they are playing a long game, even when faced with an unprecedented and massive response.
