ok i have several projects on the go at the moment and i need to use some sort of version control

now i have used visual source safe a long time ago and another version control prog taht the for life of me i cannot remember

i need to use something as my code is too much to control

so i want to use version control

i am trying to use subcomamander with subversion

but firstly i do not understand the concepts i need a manual but can't seem to find one anywhere, helpfully in pdf

simple concept like what is the url how does the url translate into a file directory etc

sorry if this sounds weird but i have never used this sort of version control system

arggghhhh i want to bite my arm off

i am answering my own question

got hold of pragmatic version control using subversion a friend of mine two doors up had the book

it looks pretty good

so i decided to ditch subcomander and go with the command line

further reading and playing about with various svn front ends

i have tried esvn, subcommander, svn workbench and python-svn but the one that looks so far to be the easiest to use is rapidsvn and also the most intuitive
