Can I Get Less Than 12 Month Extension To My O

Featured Replies

Is it possible to request say 6 or 8 months

extension as one off

I realize I am endlessly locked into a cyle which will require me to be here in the very month I need to be overseas. It all started when I was given 15 months.Yes I know it cannot be done now but it was and I have the stamps to prove it.

I suppose the alternative is leave and cancel the visa andfork out 5900 for a new one?

Anybody succeeded in doing this plea

The normal is one year. But the rules say they cannot be granted for not more than one year at a time.

It might be worth a try. Just talk to your local immigration office and ask them if it's possible.

You could also try for a 60 day extension to visit your wife instead of the normal extension. That would not meet the period you mentioned but it is an option.

I would not break the extension chain just in case they decided to raise the income requirements while you were without an extension.

Your 5900 baht cost for a new visa does not add up for me. A single entry is 2000 + extension is 3900.

A multiple entry 5000 + extension is 6900. A 2 entry visa is not given by all consulates or embassies and is pretty rare these days.

Unless he is talking Samui baht.
